On January 11th 1916, the school bell rang for the very first time and the children of Woolacombe came to start their education. We will be celebrating this momentous event and we would love past pupils and friends of the school to be part of our celebrations.

We will be regularly updating this page with news of our events, old photos and your memories of Woolacombe School over the last 100 years.

  •  We are holding an Open Day on Monday 11th January to share memories and experiences of Woolacombe school with our children. You will also see an exhibition of old log books, photographs, reports and registers from our archive. The children will be dressed in period costume and would love to talk with you about your school days. The school will be open from 9 am.

  • * Come to a special Centenary Service at St Sabinus church at 1.30 pm on January 11th 2016

  • *Come to a special KS2 Centenary Performance of ‘Peter Pan’ at Twitchen Holiday Park on January 14th and 15th at 6.30pm

* Join in our events through the year and help our centenary swimming pool appeal! We are planning a musical evening (with local talent) an art exhibition, a street tea party, a fun run, a centenary quiz night and a whole school summer show….more details of these events to follow
