Year three are given the opportunity to stay four days in Cornwall.
We travel early in the morning by coach and, new for 2017, will be staying on site at the Eden Project in their “Snoozebox” YHA accommodation. During our trip we visit some of the top landmarks and sites of our neighbouring county such as the Bluereef Aquarium in Newquay, Geevor Tin Mine, St Michael’s Mount, Pendennis Castle, the Maritime Museum in Falmouth and Flambards.
We learn about how mining was an important industry, the history of the Victorians and World War Two and how the South West has developed tourism and industry alongside beautiful landmarks and the impact of our environment and sea life.
It is a really exciting trip and action packed and the children will come back very tired but having had a brilliant time.
